Sabancı Business School moves 6 steps up in the Financial Times European Business Schools Rankings

Sabancı Business School moved 6 steps up to 63rd place in the Financial Times (FT) European Business Schools Rankings in 2020. Sabancı Executive MBA program is ranked among top 50 Executive MBA programs with is 46th place.The FT European Business Schools 2020 ranking methodology is based on the performance of five major programs: MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Management (MiM) and two certificate programs.The Financial Times is recognized as the world's leading ranking organization at both school and program level in the Business Schools rankings. Business Schools must have AACSB or EQUIS accreditation in order to be ranked in FT European Business School Rankings. Sabancı Business School continues to step up in FT European Business Schools Rankings with its outstanding success in Executive Development Programs, the percentage of International Faculty members, all faculty members with PhD degrees.


Sabancı University Executive MBA Program moves up by 10 places

Sabancı Business School Executive MBA (EMBA) Program has moved 10 steps up to 84th place in the Financial Times Ranking of “Global Executive MBA” programs in 2020.

In the ranking of the world’s best business school EMBA programs, schools are evaluated based on 17 criteria. Data for the ranking are collected using two online surveys: the first completed by participating schools and the second by alumni. Alumni responses inform five ranking criteria: salary today, salary increase, career progress, work experience and aims achieved. Information provided by the business schools informs 10 criteria including female faculty, female students, women on board, international faculty and students and boards, international course experience, extra languages, faculty with doctorates, FT research rank, CSR rank and overall satisfaction.
Nihat Kasap, the Dean of the Sabancı Business School said: “As Sabancı Business School, we are both happy and proud to have been ranked in top 100 among FT best Executive MBA Programs globally with a leap of 10 places to 84th up from 94th last year. Our faculty with its quality of education and research at an international level is among the best not only in Turkey, but also one of the best business schools in the world."

Only business schools with AACSB or EQUIS accreditation are eligible to apply for the Financial Times EMBA ranking.

Leaders' Meetings

SBS Leaders’ Meetings continue with the participation of prominent names from business world. In the first three events of this academic year, Halil Erdoğmuş (General Manager / ebebek), Ahmet Dördüncü (CEO / Akkök Holding) and İdil Türkmenoğlu (Independent Board Member, Culture & Talent & Leaderhip Consultant, Author, Speaker, Lecturer) shared their experiences and journeys in business life with our students.


Guest Speaker Sessions in our Full time MBA class during 2020-2021 fall period

During the fall semester, we hosted invaluable guest speakers in our Full time MBA class. We would like to thank them for sharing their own experiences, their MBA journey and their career insights. Most importantly, all of our guest speakers are Sabancı Graduate Business School alumni, we felt once again their sincere, modest approach and their support towards our program !


Our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. S. Arzu Wasti is in the "World's Most Influential Scientists 2020 List"

By a team of scientists from the United States and the Netherlands; using the composite index scientific impact index, which consists of variables such as the number of scientific articles, the number of citations, the rank of authors, the number of authors, and the rate of self-citation, the world's most influential scientists list was determined. The study, in which 161 thousand scientists were listed in 22 departments and 176 sub-disciplines, was conducted under the coordination of Stanford University and published in the scientific journal Plos Biology. The study was conducted on researchers who had published at least 5 articles by filtering Scopus data until May 2020, and 161 thousand scientists were listed. In Turkey, in which 857 scientists in for the "World's Most Influential Scientists 2020 List", Sabancı Business School Faculty Member S. Arzu Wasti took place in that list. We would like to congratulate her once again for her success!


The Academy of Science has announced the winners of the 2020 Young Scientist Awards Program (BAGEP)

The Academy of Science has announced the winners of the 2020 Young Scientist Awards Program (BAGEP). Yiğit Atılgan, member of the Sabancı Business School, in the field of business administrationhas won the 2020 BAGEP award in the field of business administration Yiğit Atılgan, member of the Sabancı Business School.The award-winning faculty member will conduct their funded research projects for a period of two years.

The Academy of Science's Young Scientist Awards Program (BAGEP) aims to identify and reward the best young academics, and to support them for further research, in addition to encouraging young people to carry out scientific research and rewarding the best examples.


Mustafa Parlar Foundation Science Award

Sabancı Business School (SBS) academic staff member Arzu Wasti received the Mustafa Parlar Foundation Science Award, which is given to scientists who have contributed significantly to science at the international level with their scientific studies and research or who have contributed significantly to the development of the country with their scientific findings.


Mentorship Program

Mentorship Program started in 2015, the SBS Mentorship Program continues to bring our Executive MBA, Professional MBA, Business Analytics for Professionals, Masters in Finance and full-time MBA students together with senior level executives. In 2020 - 2021 Academic year, approximately 70 mentors will be giving mentorship to over 120 students.


MBA Career Panel with Yasemin Pereira

Sabancı University Founding Board of Trustees Chair, Güler Sabancı, President of Sabancı University Yusuf Leblebici and Member of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı University and Borusan Holding Board Member Agah Uğur delivered their speeches at the opening of the virtual ceremony. The Professional Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony was held online on Saturday, October 17, 2020 by Sabancı University, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in the previous academic year. Sabancı University decided to have a virtual commencement ceremony in order to protect the health of students and their families in accordance with the precautions taken against the Covid-19 pandemic. This online ceremony was held for 252 graduates who have completed the Sabancı University Professional Graduate Programs in the fields of Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data Analytics under Graduate School of Engineering and Natural Sciences; and the fields of Finance Master, Management (MBA), Management for Professionals (Professional MBA) and Management for Executives (Executive MBA) under Sabancı Graduate Business School. Graduating Students and their families attended this virtual ceremony, which was broadcasted live on the university website and its social media accounts.
