MELEK AKIN ATEŞ
Melek Akın Ateş, Sabancı Üniversitesİ Yönetim Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde Satın Alma ve Tedarik Zinciri Yönetimi alanında Doçent olarak görev yapmaktadır. Yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini Hollanda'daki Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus Üniversitesi'nden almıştır. Ana araştırma alanları stratejik satın alma, sürdürülebilir tedarik zinciri yönetimi, tedarik zinciri dayanıklılığı, satın alma ve inovasyon ile tedarik zinciri karmaşıklığıdır. Çalışmaları International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM), International Journal of Production Research (IJPR), Journal of Business Logistics (JBL), Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management (JPSM) ve Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM) gibi dergilerde yayımlanmıştır. Decision Sciences Institute Konferansı’nda En İyi Öğrenci Makalesi Ödülü (2011), EurOMA/POM Dünya Konferansı'nda Chris Voss Highly Commended Ödülü (2012), Academy of Management Konferansı’nda Chan Hahn En İyi Makale Ödülü Finalisti (2014) ve JSCM En Çok Atıf Alan Makale Ödülü (2023) almıştır. Ayrıca, JPSM En İyi Hakem Ödülü (2018), JSCM En İyi Hakem Ödülü (2024), JPSM En İyi Hakem Yardımcı Editör Ödülü (2024) ve Bilim Akademisi Genç Bilim İnsanı (BAGEP) Ödülü (2024) gibi önemli ödüllere layık görülmüştür. Şu anda JPSM, JSCM ve IJOPM dergilerinde Yardımcı Editör olarak görev yapmakta olup, European Decision Science Institute’da Genel Sekreter olarak hizmet vermektedir.

Melek Akın Ateş is Associate Professor of Purchasing & Supply Management at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey. She got her master’s and PhD degrees from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University, in the Netherlands. Her main research areas are strategic purchasing, sustainable supply chain management, supply chain resilience, purchasing and innovation, and supply chain complexity. Her work has appeared in International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM), International Journal of Production Research (IJPR), Journal of Business Logistics (JBL), Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management (JPSM), and Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM). She received the Best Student Paper Prize at the Decision Sciences Conference (2011), Chris Voss Highly Commended Award at the EurOMA/POM World Conference (2012), Chan Hahn Best Paper Award Finalist at the Academy of Management Conference (2014), and the JSCM Top Cited Article Award (2023). She also received JPSM Best Reviewer Award (2018), JSCM Outstanding Reviewer Award (2024), JPSM Outstanding Associate Editor Award (2024), and the Young Scientist Award (BAGEP) of the Science Academy Turkey (2024). She currently serves as an Associate Editor for JPSM, JSCM, IJOPM and is the Secretary General at the European Decision Sciences Institute (EDSI).
